The Orange Foundation is proud to announce that it has been selected as this year’s official charity partner for the Holmeswood Fun Day on Sunday, August 4. The yearly family fun day is held in Holmeswood Village Hall, near Ormskirk.
The event will be packed with activities and interactive events. From a photography competition to a colouring competition, local craft stalls, an ice cream trailer, a bouncy castle, a fancy dress competition, and even a Fun Day trail, there will be plenty of things to do for all of the family.
Jill Cubbin, organiser for Holmeswood Fun Day said:
“Another year for Holmeswood Fun Day and we have a great and fun-packed event for all of the family. There will be a children’s pet show, photography and colouring competitions, local crafts and artists, stalls, refreshments, and so much more.
“We’re really thankful for so many kind sponsors who are supporting the Fun Day. This year’s chosen charity will be The Orange Foundation. The Foundation offers a variety of assistance to people living with cancer, and we’re pleased to support this valuable work.
“Fingers crossed for great weather on the day!”

Kim Sturgess, one of The Orange Foundation’s Trustee said:
“We’re always so grateful that people raise money for the Foundation and we’re especially pleased that the Fun Day at Holmeswood will provide us with an opportunity to tell people about the support they access if they or a relative is living with cancer.
“As someone who was raised in Holmeswood from being three years old, went to Holmeswood School and was christened and married in the chapel, I have lovely memories from the village. I lived in Holmeswood until 1993 and still have many connections to the area.”
