A Blackburn running club has raised more than £800 for The Orange Foundation after choosing it as its Christmas charity choice for 2025.
Blackburn Social Runners and Walkers, led by local man Chris Jolliffe, raised the cash over three of its December runs; a Thursday evening three-miler around Darwen, a Saturday fancy dress four-mile run and an additional three-mile Monday jog.
Chris said: “Each year we choose two charities to raise funds for and The Orange Foundation was our Christmas charity choice.
“We chose The Orange Foundation because we have had a couple of our members impacted by cancer this year. Fortunately, they both ended the year with positive news so we are hoping for a better year ahead for them in 2026.“

The £837.33 raised by the running club will be used by The Orange Foundation, which was established in memory of Emma Aindow-Gregory, to provide practical support for people living with cancer.
